Hub City Sounds is a FREE and Family welcoming Performing, Visual and Culinary Arts festival series with events for all tastes! Local artists are featured at neighborhood parks and theatre venues located in the heart of Downtown New Brunswick, NJ. Festival goers are welcome to bring blankets or chairs for lawn seating at park events, and Delectable Delights will be available for purchase. This year’s kick off introduces an all inclusive theatre festival featuring musical, visual, and theatre performances from local and national artists. The performance types, styles and cuisine will vary reflecting the diverse population of New Brunswick’s community and of the region. This weekly series will consist of over 50 performances showcasing Asian Indian, Latino, Caribbean, African American and Irish-American communities, highlighting multiple genres; including jazz, reggae, punk, soul, dance, salsa, drumming (traditional, African and Tabla), Celtic Rock, and more.
¡Hub City Sounds es un festival de las artes que auspiciará una serie de eventos gratuítos para todos los gustos! Artistas locales se presentarán en parques del vecindario, y teatros localizados en el corazón de la cuidad de New Brunswick, NJ. Los que asistan a los festivales se les permitará traer cobijas o sillas para sentarse en el área del césped, y habrán meriendas, “Delectable Delights” a la venta.
