Virtual Photography Workshop

The New Brunswick Free Public Library is presenting a Virtual Photography Contest with three free workshops which will be held online via the Zoom platform. Deadline for contest submission is October 15, 2020. Grant funding has been provided by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders through a grant provided by New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State.

Workshop 3:
Tips for Taking Better Pictures of Pets and Wild Animals with ANY Camera, led by Professional Photographer and Author Andrew Darlow.

In this online lecture, Andrew will cover these and other topics: • Tips for getting great quality pet and wild animal images from any camera (even camera phones). • An overview of lenses and settings for DSLR and mirror less camera users. • Some “Secret tips” for capturing unique camera angles and expressions of your pets with DSLR, mirror less and smartphone cameras. • Suggested places around the house where you can photograph pets. • How to light pets like movie stars without spending much (or anything!) • Specific tips for getting great shots when you visit zoos or wildlife parks.
