E.L.P. Facilitator Training Info Session
December 12, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
New Brunswick Free Public Library provides a series of English Language Programs in cycles of 8 – 10 weeks occurring at various times to meet the needs of community members. Our English Language Programs support adults learning English in building communication skills in contexts that are meaningful and relevant to their everyday lives. Class activities are interactive and focus on skills and strategies related to vocabulary, listening, speaking and pronunciation, reading, writing, and grammar.
New Brunswick Free Public Library provides English Language Programs Facilitator Training for community members interested in serving as small group leaders to support English language learning. Facilitators work with an instructor who models the activities in the classes and then provides support to facilitators as they work with groups of 3 – 5 adults.
The 25–hour facilitator training program includes:
● a 1-hour information session including an informal group interview (this one, or the one offered on Saturday, December 7)
● a 3-hour training session in preparation for classes
● and attendance at 7 or more English Language Program classes (approx. 3 hours each).
Additional details can be found on the library’s website.
Space is limited. Please RSVP by emailing Akisha Canty at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling/texting her at 732-659-4359.
