Passport to Art - Create a Pop Art Masterpiece

Travel the world of art every first Saturday of the month. Children and parents will work side-by-side on exciting arts, crafts, and performance projects conducted by trained educators, artists and musicians. This interactive workshop allows families quality time to be creative together. Create a Pop Art Masterpiece

Pop art was one of the major movements of the twentieth century. Many artists used imagery from mass media, advertising and consumer products in creating their artworks. This program celebrates the Zimmerli’s special exhibition Pop Art and After: Prints and Popular Culture. Participants will be invited by artist/educator Dot Paolo to create their own sculptural objects such as make-believe cereal boxes. They will also work with labels from consumer items in creating works of art, and explore the concept of comic books.

Passport to Art is a free program, but will require a $5 per person refundable deposit. All fees are reimbursed when registered participants attend the programs. Cancellations must be made at least a week before the scheduled date of the program.
