Back by popular demand, Elena Baksht, one of the most exciting of today’s young pianists, will perform Prokofiev’s intimate and introspective Piano Sonata No. 4 as well as music by the Russian visionary Alexander Scriabin. Baksht has performed at major venues throughout the world, including Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Hall and the Tanglewood Festival. In addition to her distinguished music career, Baksht is also an important contemporary Russian poet.
