| Info/Notes: | Laughing Matters: Daumier's Strategies of HumorDr. Elizabeth C. Childs, Department Chair and Associate Professor of Art History and Archaeology, This lecture will contextualize Daumier’s series of portrait-caricature clay busts of politicians and other notable personalities of the July Monarchy (1830-1948) vis-à-vis sculptural trends produced in nineteenth-century France. The Zimmerli Art Museum is located at 71 Hamilton Street on the College Avenue campus of Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Hours are Tuesday – Friday, 10AM to 4:30PM, and Saturday – Sunday, noon to 5PM. Admission is $3.00 for adults and free for museum members, Rutgers students, faculty and staff (with ID), and children under 18. Admission is free on the first Sunday of every month.
